The story this time centers on Squall Leonhart, a young man in the military who is soon pulled into an adventure that spans the globe. Along the way, other characters can be recruited, ranging from the always-hyper Selphie to the egotistical Irvine. Nobuo Uematsu, who has composed the music for every FINAL FANTASY game, again scores the music. Featuring 3D characters and pre-rendered backgrounds, FINAL FANTASY VIII is one of the most impressive looking games ever.
