One of the best Shinobi Games Ever (Matthew S. in California)

This is one of those rare gems that not only looks good but plays good as well. The control is tight and while complex is easy to just pick up and play, the graphics are top notch for Genesis and the sprites are very detailed. the sound is well composed and has the distinct ninja movie style to it. I made the mistake of passing on this game way back when it was new, because it got lost in the flood of all the great games that were coming out at the time, but after getting back into classic games it was one of the first on my list to pick up. If you are familiar with Shinobi titles, then you know it's formula is virtually unchanged from the previous game "Revenge of Shinobi" but it does polish things up nicely. it features fast paced hack and slash action, combined with challenging platforming, but this time the enemies have better A.I. and the bosses are bigger and stronger than the previous titles. I definitely recommend picking this one up if you find it.
