Just like I remembered. Fun as hell

Highly Polished Culmination of the Series (Chris in Kansas)
  July 14, 2012

The game fixes everything wrong in the second and first installments. The annoying little quibbles like having to go through each weapon to buy ammo, or not having enough spots in the quick-select menu, or grinding for bolts are addressed. Each iteration of the series has taken a design diet, cutting back on fluff and adding layers of thoughtful design and just pure fun.

This third installment introduces some of the most quirky characters to the series, a slew of new weapons, and the best designed worlds. The addition of mini-missions within some levels is a nice touch and plays on the assets introduced to the game in multiplayer mode (an addition itself). The game teeters on the edge of being child friendly and just plain cool to an older audience, something that is hard to pull off but completely works for the Ratchet universe.

The graphics are polished up featuring pretty impressive particle effects for a PS2 game, and the best in the Ratchet series, that really give the weapons an added POW factor. The game mixes in elements from almost every single genre: platforming, action, adventure, rpg. Health and weapon leveling are a core game mechanic and add extra element of surprise to the purchase of new weapons.
